Is Fast Track suitable for a complete beginner?
Yes. It starts with the foundations and builds a full-picture understanding. You will still be challenged to apply the material and think critically about real development decisions.
Will this teach me everything I need to develop a property?
Yes. Fast Track teaches the principles, frameworks and decision-making process behind successful land development. It gives you a repeatable process you can apply to projects of different sizes—from severances and infill to zoning amendments and subdivisions. It is intentionally broad enough to explain the full development journey and practical enough to apply immediately. Because every site and municipality is different, you will still need to do the specific homework for your market and engage qualified consultants and legal, tax or technical professionals when required. The Community complements the course with deeper project discussions, expert-led events and coaching from Carina.
Can I use my own project while I learn?
Yes—and that is encouraged. The course teaches the process, and you apply each lesson to your own market or project to build hands-on understanding. Weekly online Community events help clarify concepts and develop a deeper understanding through guest speakers, industry experts and direct coaching from Carina Guzmán. Project-specific professional or advisory work may require separate support.

What happens after 30 days?
Your access to the Land Development Fast Track remains yours for life. The complimentary LDA Community access ends after 30 days. You can continue your access for as long as you subscribe to the LDA Community, including live online events, the replay library and continued participation in the member network across Canada.
Can I earn professional development credits with LDA?
Yes. Eligible Fast Track course hours and LDA Community session attendance — including live masterclasses, Q&A and case studies — may be self-reported for professional development or continuing education credits, depending on your designation.
Which professional organizations may recognize LDA hours?
LDA may support professional development reporting for Canadian planners affiliated with CIP, OPPI, PIBC, APPI, OUQ, API, MPPI and SPPI, as well as OACETT C.E.T. and C.Tech. designations. Eligible live sessions may also qualify for APA Certification Maintenance (CM) credits in the U.S.
How many hours can I claim?
The number of eligible hours depends on the activities you complete and your professional organization’s requirements. You are responsible for confirming and self-reporting your eligible hours.
Can I get a record of my attendance?
Yes. On request, LDA can provide records of attendance covering both your Fast Track course activity and your LDA Community session attendance, so you have documentation to support your self-reported hours.
Will I receive a certificate upon completing the course?
Yes. A completion certificate will be provided upon successful completion of the course.
How much does Fast Track cost, and what is included?
